FUJINON Professional Optical Zoom Lens
The GZ-HD7 utilises a lens designed for high definition by FUJINON. FUJINON is the leader in professional camera lens for live HD images. This lens features 3 aspherical elements and provides nearly the same brightness (F1.8-1.9) throughout its zoom range. In addition, the lens surface is coated with a new Electronic Beam Coating (EBC) that greatly reduces degradation caused by light reflecting off the lens surfaces, leading to greater light transmission and reduced flaring and ghosting.

Three 1/5" Progressive Scan CCDs with Pixel Shift Technology
For bright, realistic colours the HD Everio uses three 1/5-inch CCDs — one each for red, green and blue. Naturally, by having dedicated CCDs for each primary colour, the camera is able to gather the maximum visual information which leads to more realistic colour reproduction and presence. Using Pixel Shift Technology, the Red and Blue pixel locations are shifted relative to Green, allowing the sampled colour information to be quadrupled through interpolation.

Colour Viewfinder

Focus Assist outlines in-focus image contours in colour so you can easily tell which parts of the image are in or out of focus.

Displays a striped pattern across highlight areas on the image, making it easier to manually set the exposure.

In addition to point-and-shoot simplicity, HD Everio also offers a wide range of manual controls including Manual White Balance, Exposure Control, Sharpness Control, Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority and Brightness Control. The GZ-HD7 is also equipped with pro-style direct-access buttons that give you one-push access to frequently used manual functions.
Stick Control for Easy Operation
Access a multitude of functions with the 4-way one-finger control. Pressing the four "compass points" on the circular control operates everything from menu item selection to manual camera settings.
Accessory Shoe and Mic Input
Mount an optional microphone on the accessory shoe for clear, high-quality audio recording. A convenient Mic Input Terminal with plug-in power supplies power to the mounted microphone.

Power-Linked Operation
